UK Secretary of State for Scotland Douglas Alexander spoke to Bloomberg TV at the annual Labour Party Conference in Liverpool, saying that "there's a recognition that we face big constraints and big structural challenges" but that he personally welcomes Burnham's plans around social care. He also commented on the UK's relationship with the US in light of the RAF Fairford incident in the UK, saying he assures that the intelligence sharing relationships between the US, US, and allies across the West "is as strong as it's ever been".
