Aggressive artificial intelligence infrastructure spending is creating a severe credit squeeze across the tech sector, pushing Oracle long-term bond yields past eight percent and above the average single-B junk bond yield. With nearly 118 billion dollars in debt and the recent halt of a massive New Mexico data center project, Oracle faces the looming risk of having 120 billion dollars in bonds ejected from investment grade indexes, setting up a stark financial contrast against better-positioned mega-cap peers like Amazon, Nvidia, and Microsoft.
