Sawyer Merritt and Kevin O'Connor both rode Tesla's Cybercab in Austin, and both have used Tesla's full self-driving for years. Merritt cites Tesla's own Q2 earnings call: around half of North American buyers now add FSD at checkout, against 10% to 20% a few years ago. He walks through why Waymo cannot match the Cybercab on cost, since it buys and imports third-party vehicles rather than building its own. O'Connor pulls up his own numbers on screen: 12,493 of his last 12,596 miles driven on FSD.
