Hundreds of people have died and thousands have been injured after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck Colombia on August 10th. President Abelardo de la Espriella has taken charge of the response but the earthquake is revealing local deprivation. The Economist travelled to one of the worst-hit areas, Quibdó.
