US President Donald Trump said there are no talks taking place or planned between the US and Iran, after the Memorandum of Understanding came to an end.
Trump also posted a map labelling the Strait of Hormuz as a “new US territory”, which Iranian officials have called a "delusion".
One person has been killed in a strike on a vessel in the Strait, which as at the centre of efforts to end the war.
