“Florals. For Spring. Groundbreaking.”
If you’re a fan of the original “Devil Wears Prada,” you’re probably familiar with this line that Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) icily utters during a Runway magazine staff meeting.
More meetings are conducted (and more shade is thrown) in the sequel. David Frankel, who directed both movies, discusses one such scene in the above video. This time, Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), who was an assistant seeking Miranda’s approval in the first film, is now at the table as a features editor, yet still seeking that same approval. She dares to speak during the meeting, and that does not go well.
