New York Times reporters sat down with President Trump for an interview just hours after an ICE agent shot and killed Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old woman, in Minneapolis.
Trump stuck to his position that Good was at fault, even as our reporters pointed out the inconsistencies in his account, and he sidestepped a question about whether the fatal shooting showed his ICE operation had gone too far. After the interview, a Times analysis of footage from three camera angles showed the motorist was driving away from — not toward — a federal officer when he opened fire.
