Donald Trump has said the US-Iran ceasefire is 'over' following renewed military strikes between the two countries.
Trump’s comments came after the US and Iran traded military strikes on Tuesday evening. The Pentagon said it was responding to attacks on ships by the Islamic republic in the Strait of Hormuz.
Speaking at the Nato summit in Ankara, the US president sharply criticised Iran’s leaders, calling them 'scum' and 'sick people'.
'I don’t want to deal with them . . . it’s a waste of time dealing with them, they’re liars . . . there’s something wrong with them, they’re cuckoo,' he said.
