CBS’s spokesperson refused to attribute the network’s statement about whether it blocked Stephen Colbert’s interview with Texas Democrat James Talarico, as per The Verge’s background policy. Spokesperson Phil Gonzales wrote, “Respectfully, you don’t need to use the statement. We will keep that in mind next time Verge asks us to reply [sic].”
