Initial jobless claims in the US fell by 10,000 to 214,000 in the week ending Dec. 20. The median forecast called for 224,000 applications. Continuing claims though rose to 1.92 million. Bloomberg's Michael Ball and Stephanie Roth of Wolfe Research react.
