Donald Trump is making big changes to the White House, demolishing what used to be the east wing of the US president's official residence. In its place, a ballroom is set to be built. Controversially, the $300mn project will be funded by what the Trump administration calls 'patriot donors' — among them tech giants Amazon, Google and Meta, as well as crypto groups Tether and Coinbase.
