Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has promised €3.8bn in aid to deal with the aftermath of the floods in the country. More than 200 people died in the flooding, which was caused by torrential rain hitting Valencia and neighbouring provinces in October. The announcement comes after a huge night of protests in Valencia which saw over 100,000 people rally against the authorities' handling of recent deadly floods, demanding the resignation of regional head Carlos Mazón.
